Kaely Horton
Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Kaely Horton now lives in Sisters, Oregon. She has an MFA in Fiction from the University of New Hampshire, an MA in literature from Oregon State University, and a lifelong love of good stories. Over the past nine years, she has published a range of short stories, essays, and flash fiction pieces, including work in Hobart, Stonecoast Review, Flash Fiction Online, Pacifica Review, Waxwing, and others. Her writing frequently features, among other things, speculative elements, zany animals, complex intergenerational family dynamics, LGBTQ+ characters and relationships, enduring connections to nature and place, and characters who struggle between the pull for adventure and the pull for stability. At any given time, it’s safe to assume she is working on at least two novels.
